THE OBSTACLES
India's population is well over one billion people. While India is an absolutely beautiful country with a rich history and culture, there also remains a deep poverty, which has an enormous impact on the children.
An estimated twenty five million orphans trying to survive, finding their own way is overwhelming. With nearly six hundred million people earning less than a few dollars per day, the struggle and pressure to raise a family is a heavy burden. While the world poverty line is $1.25 per day, a quarter of India's population earns less than .40¢ per day.
